Accounting Coordinator
This role is a Contract to Hire position based in Hillsboro, OR.
About the role
The Accounting Coordinator supports the accounting and finance team by processing transactions, maintaining financial records, assisting with month-end close activities, and providing administrative support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting functions.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Prepare customer billings and track collections.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain vendor and customer records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Support project accounting, job cost tracking, and reporting.
- Prepare journal entries and accounting schedules.
- Organize accounting documentation and ensure audit readiness.
- Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries.
Requirements
- 2+ years of operational accounting experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Journal Entry and General Ledger Posting experience.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of job costing.
- Familiarity with Viewpoint or Oracle ERP systems.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Hillsboro, OR.
