Job Summary
Sternberg, Inc is searching for a motivated Accountant for our fast-growing dealership. The position will be in Jasper, IN, but primarily supporting our Louisville operations. We offer a 5-day work week, health insurance, and a 401K plan. Responsibilities
- Support monthly financial close, including calculating and posting daily, weekly, and monthly transactions
- Review financial statement accounts and schedules; review income statements and balance sheets
- Complete monthly GM financial statement according to manufacturer guidelines
- Complete new vehicle reporting requirements with manufacturers
- Post monthly accounting and calculate related commissions; work with sales reps, as needed
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare and file sales, use, tire, and rental tax returns
- Work with sales and operations to ensure manufacturer accounts are current and accurate
- Maintain cash flow to ensure daily cash needs are met
- Streamline processes and procedures; drive improved analytical tools
- Foster teamwork across all departments
