We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for a manufacturing environment in South Carolina. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate records, handling high-volume transactions, and contributing to an organized accounting function.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Record customer payments, monitor outstanding balances, and help maintain current accounts receivable records.
- Enter financial data into QuickBooks and related systems while ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Review transactions for discrepancies, research issues, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment concerns.
- Maintain organized accounting files and documentation to support audits, reporting, and routine recordkeeping needs.
- Assist with invoice processing activities and update transaction details to reflect current account status.
- Support day-to-day accounting operations by preparing basic reports and helping reconcile financial information.
Requirements
- Experience working with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and general accounting data entry tasks.
- Ability to process invoices accurately and manage transaction records with strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with basic accounting procedures and financial documentation standards.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills for working with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
