Accounting Clerk
About the role
Park DuValle Community Health Center is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our Finance Department. The Accounting Clerk supports the day-to-day financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing deposits, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial data, supporting month-end close processes, and promoting effective financial stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile daily cash receipts and bank deposits.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Prepare reconciliations, spreadsheets, and audit support documents.
- Respond to vendor and internal department inquiries professionally.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and accounting procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, banking, or financial support experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work accurately with financial data.
Qualifications
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Healthcare, nonprofit, or community health center experience (preferred).
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience (preferred).
