Pay
Hourly Rate: $18.28
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting clerical duties and maintain accounting files.
- Process vendor invoices by comparing invoice amount with the authorized purchase order and receiving information.
- Prepare expenditure report and check invoice activity against general ledger.
- Record, classify, and summarize invoices, work orders, purchase orders, etc. and assist in compiling and preparing monthly financial reports.
- Maintain center records, ledgers, and journals as necessary to determine center financial status.
- Coordinate the distribution of student allowances for living expenses and payrolls.
- Compile and maintain records necessary to prepare payroll register and all other data affecting the payroll.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent required, with courses in general accounting and bookkeeping.
- One-year experience as a general accounting clerk preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.
- This role is classified as safety-sensitive and requires pre-employment drug/alcohol testing consistent with state law and organizational policy.
