Description of Work
- Process deposits, payments, account transfers, statements, and record updates through automated systems
- Post entries, verify balances, review documents, and prepare records for reconciliation and reporting
- Store, organize, and update accounting files and documents according to retention requirements
- Aid with general fund activities, invoice processing, credit card reviews, and preparation of financial worksheets
- Use accounting software and banking systems to input data, review transactions, and run required reports
- Respond to questions, handle paperwork, file documents, and support daily operations within the business office
Qualifications Required
- Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work
- An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting
- Successful completion of the training academy in Elizabethtown, PA
Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch

Benefits
- Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506.00 (before taxes).
