About the role

The Academic Assistant provides academic support to a scholar at Jumoke Academy TED (Thelma Ellis Dickerson) Elementary Campus.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children
• 2 year Associate's Degree; high school diploma required
• Some computer skills preferred
• Must be reliable with attendance and have a great personality with children

Job Description

The Academic Assistant performs varied instructional, academic and behavior intervention, and supervisory tasks in regards to assisting the scholars in the classroom as required by the school. The academic assistant may be required to assist scholars with specific basic needs. Reports to the assigned teacher and is evaluated by and ultimately reports to the dean of academics.

This is a full-time 10-month position with benefits.
