Accounting Assistant
About the Role
Oneida ESC Group, a holding company wholly owned by the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, provides a consistent, cost-effective common management platform supporting our family of companies united under common ownership. With roots in engineering, science, and construction, we deliver Environmental Services, Engineering and Design Services, Construction Services, and Technical and Professional Services to government agencies and commercial customers worldwide. We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Assistant in Milwaukee, WI on a Hybrid Schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process client invoices for different contract types.
- Apply cash receipts to customer accounts and ensure accurate posting.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with clients on outstanding balances.
- Maintain organized billing and collection records.
- Support other finance-related tasks as needed, including data entry and reporting.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- 0–2 years in accounting or billing preferred; experience in government contracts a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
Compensation
$19 – $22 per hour
