The Role

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our high-energy accounting team. This position offers significant opportunities for long-term career development within our growing practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the accounting team with daily accounting tasks
• File and record check deposits in client electronic files and case management software
• Mail checks and perform in-person bank deposits
• Aid Bookkeeper with month-end close processes
• Communicate with vendors and process payments
• Understand client expense recording in QuickBooks
• Maintain knowledge of Trust Accounting principles
• Aid with QuickBooks data entry and report generation
• Utilize QuickBooks for client expense ledgers and bill payments
• Aid with check verification calls from banking institutions
• Record client check deposits within 48 hours of receiving deposit slip from Controller or Bookkeeper
• Enter client invoices into QuickBooks Online within 48 hours of attorney’s approval

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
• 1+ years of Accounting Experience
• 1+ years of QuickBooks Online experience
• 1+ years of experience in a law firm setting, preferably personal injury

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Proficiency with FileVine software
• Trust accounting experience
