Accounting and Payroll Specialist

This position plays an important role in keeping our financial operations organized, accurate, and running efficiently while supporting multiple areas of our plumbing, HVAC, remodeling, and home services business.

About the role

As the Accounting and Payroll Specialist, you'll manage a variety of day-to-day accounting responsibilities that help keep the business operating efficiently and accurately. You'll process payroll, maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, monitor cash flow, and maintain accurate financial records across multiple business divisions. You'll assist with monthly financial reporting, support job-costing activities, coordinate financing documentation, prepare information for tax reporting, and help ensure that year-end financial records are complete and accurate.

Working closely with company leadership, you'll provide reliable financial information to support budgeting, operational planning, and informed business decisions, while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in every aspect of your work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly financial reporting

• Coordinate financing documentation
• Prepare information for tax reporting
• Ensure year-end financial records are complete and accurate
• Provide reliable financial information to support budgeting and operational planning

Requirements

We're seeking an experienced accounting professional with at least five years of bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or related financial experience. Candidates should have strong QuickBooks knowledge along with experience processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, performing account reconciliations, and preparing financial reports.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Accounting experience in construction, HVAC, plumbing, remodeling, home services, or other project-based industries (highly encouraged)
• Experience with job costing, service industry accounting, or managing financial records for multiple business entities (a strong advantage)

Pay

$25.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
