About the role
The Accounting Administrator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Accounting department, helping ensure financial records, communications, and routine accounting processes are managed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Open, sort, scan, and distribute incoming accounting mail, invoices, payments, and financial correspondence.
- Monitor and respond to routine inquiries received through Accounting email inboxes, escalating issues as needed.
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of accounting records within company financial systems.
- Verify account balances, invoices, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes through document collection, tracking, and record maintenance.
- Organize, file, and maintain digital and physical accounting records in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with expense reports, reimbursement requests, and other routine accounting transactions.
- Provide general administrative support to the Accounting team and assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Foundational understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process and review information.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a willingness to support internal stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred; recent graduates and candidates completing their final year of study are encouraged to apply. Previous accounting internship, bookkeeping experience, or administrative experience supporting accounting or finance functions preferred.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job is $22.00 to $28.00 per hour.
