Accounting Administrator
About the role
Camelot Services is looking for a highly organized and dependable Accounting Administrator to keep the Accounting Department running smoothly. The role combines administrative support with billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, document management, and workflow coordination. Advanced accounting experience is not required; the ideal candidate enjoys structure, follows instructions carefully, stays on top of details, and takes pride in completing work accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Monitor accounting inboxes and route or respond to requests using established procedures.
- Support client billing by gathering documents, entering information, and confirming required items are complete.
- Distribute customer invoices and internal reports accurately and on schedule.
- Enter vendor invoices and assist with accounts payable processing.
- Support accounts receivable follow‑up, payment research, and collections.
- Maintain organized electronic files and complete supporting documentation.
- Update trackers, checklists, and workflow statuses so outstanding items stay visible.
- Research routine vendor and customer questions and escalate issues when needed.
- Assist with mail, scanning, supplies, and other department administrative duties.
- Support special projects, system implementations, and process improvements.
Requirements

- Professional communication skills.
- Comfort managing multiple recurring tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Willingness and ability to learn new systems with training.
- Experience in accounting support, office administration, billing, AP, AR, bookkeeping, or a similar detail‑oriented role is preferred.
- Experience with Yardi, monday.com, or Microsoft 365 is helpful but not required.

Schedule
Hybrid schedule with remote work and one day per week in the Plano office.
