ACCOUNTANT (STAFF)
About the Role
This position is located in the Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy Branch (SUP111), Financial Operations Division (SUP11), Deputy Commander for Financial Management/Comptroller (SUP01) of CNSSC MECHANICSBURG NWCF MHA.
Responsibilities
- Review accounting and financial reports to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Utilize automated financial systems to extract, interpret, and analyze financial reports and statistical data.
- Evaluate and identify accounting system deficiencies, policy issues, and audit requirements to take or recommend corrective action.
- Advise and assist management on accounting and financial matters.
Requirements
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized accounting experience at the next lower grade level (GS-11) or equivalent pay band in the federal service or comparable experience in the private or public sector. This experience should involve applying principles, concepts, and practices of financial management and accounting.
