Accountant Senior-Accounting at Christus Health

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, with complete and accurate supporting documentation.
• Perform variance analysis on assigned accounts to both budget and trend and provide explanations to their Lead and Manager for month-end review of financial statements.
• Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Absorb information requests from other teams as needed.
• Research GL transactions to understand the impact to the GL.
• Assist with process improvement projects.
• Support the year-end external audit.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• Experience: 5 years of experience required. Healthcare accounting experience preferred.
• Candidates seeking CPA license preferred; some assistance available for those seeking licensing.

Qualifications

Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
