Typical Responsibilities
- Generate and review customer invoices in Unanet (or similar ERP), including cost-plus, T&M, and fixed-price contract billing.
- Monitor AR aging, follow up on outstanding receivables, and ensure timely collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Process cash receipts and apply payments accurately.
- Prepare and submit invoices through government portals (WAWF, IPP) as required.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all company accounts.
- Conduct general ledger account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts (including cash, AR, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, unbilled receivables/WIP, and deferred revenue).
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including month-end adjusting entries.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure proper indirect cost allocation and compliance with company disclosed practices.
- Support internal and external audits (including DCAA) by providing documentation and explanations.
- Aid in incurred cost submissions and provisional billing rate calculations as needed.

The anticipated pay for this position in the identified location(s) is $70,000 – 80,000/year. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Unanet or a similar government contracting ERP system.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.).
- Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, GAAP, and DCAA compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with government contract billing (cost-reimbursable, T&M, FFP).
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, especially during month-end close.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- CPA certification or working toward certification.
- Prior experience in a government contracting environment.
- Experience supporting DCAA audits and incurred cost submissions.
