Accountant II
About the role
This position is responsible for preparing and reconciling data for posting to the general ledger and other financial statements. Reviews and analyzes general ledger account balances for accuracy and makes recommendations for corrections. Evaluates financial reports and records to verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. Performs monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Prepares accurate and timely reports and accounting statements for management. Analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to determine and/or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization. Follows and suggests established regulations, guidelines, policies, procedures, etc. to ensure compliance to general accounting practices.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and reconciles data for posting to financial statements including balance sheet, profit and loss, subsidiary statements, etc.
- Reviews and analyzes general ledger account balances for accuracy and makes recommendations for corrections.
- Evaluates financial reports and records to verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
- Performs monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Prepares accurate and timely reports and accounting statements for management.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 2-4 years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system.
- Strong analytical skills required.
- High degree of confidentiality needed due to the nature of the information with which this position works.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Pay
$60,000 - $70,000 annually
Schedule
Hybrid - Full-time position offering a flexible work schedule requiring you to be in the office 4 days a week and an option to work from home 1 day out of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on the other day). Standard in office days are Monday and Wednesday. The third and fourth in office day is determined by divisional management.
