Accountant/Finance Office Manager

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Maintain accrual, prepaid, fixed-asset, bank, and other supporting schedules
  • Monitor cash balances and assist with banking activity
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, cash receipts, and audit preparation
  • Provide backup support for payroll, accounts payable, and reception when needed
  • Maintain organized finance office records, files, and documentation
  • Auxiliary work with Excel, data cleanup, reporting, and process improvement projects

Qualifications

  • Accounting degree, accounting concentration, ACCA affiliation, CPA exam progress, or comparable general accounting experience required
  • Experience with accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entries, cash activity, or financial close preferred
  • Strong Excel, data, and systems skills, or clear interest and aptitude in developing those skills
  • Interest in technology, process improvement, and AI-assisted tools
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through
  • Ability to work with staff, residents, families, and visitors in a supportive and upbeat manner
  • Willingness to handle both accounting work and routine office duties
