Description

Position Purpose: As an Accountant on LONG’s Accounting team, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and organizing accounting processes.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform Month-End Close processes and reconcile various balance sheet accounts.
• Review monthly financial statements, job cost reports, and status reports.
• Serve as an accounting resource for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Help develop and document accounting procedures.
• Gain experience in supporting different areas within the Accounting Department.
• Maintain, develop, and document procedures and checklists.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects while supporting the team’s objectives.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and focus on finding solutions.
• Hightly detail-oriented, able to spot discrepancies, identify errors, and correct mistakes using various tools and strategies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel at an intermediate level.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Enjoy working on a variety of tasks and challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations or other Accounting and ERP Software

Physical Requirements

• This position may involve sitting for extended periods, lifting, bending, and kneeling.
• This position may require lifting to 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
