Account Supervisor
About the role
Nectar is seeking an Account Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role requires someone who can lead client relationships, elevate work, and ensure programs deliver meaningful results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations, communications, or integrated marketing, with experience in agency environments, particularly in technology sectors like AI, enterprise, and B2B tech.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day execution across multiple client accounts, ensuring programs are strategic, on track, and delivering results
- Serve as a primary client contact, providing proactive counsel and building trusted relationships
- Develop and execute media strategies that drive high-impact coverage and thought leadership opportunities
- Oversee the creation of key materials including press releases, pitches, bylines, and briefing documents
- Identify newsjacking, trend, and storytelling opportunities and mobilize teams to act quickly
- Manage account workflows, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring consistency and quality across all workstreams
- Guide and mentor junior team members, providing clear feedback and fostering professional growth
- Collaborate across earned, owned, and social channels to deliver integrated communications programs
- Contribute to new business efforts, including strategy development, research, and pitch participation
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and media shifts to inform client strategy
Requirements
6–8+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or integrated marketing. Preferred prior experience in agency environments, with a focus on technology (AI, enterprise, B2B tech). Proven track record of developing and executing media strategies that deliver meaningful results. Strong client management skills with experience providing strategic counsel and leading relationships. Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities across formats. Experience managing projects, workflows, and multiple workstreams simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members. Strong understanding of the evolving media landscape, including digital, social, and influencer channels. Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field preferred. Comfortable working hybrid 2 days per week out of our hub. Location: San Francisco preferred, flexible location: New York.
