Account Servicing Specialist - 90+ Day Collections

About the role

The Account Servicing Specialist (90+ Days) will service auto loan accounts that are 90+ days delinquent and document all collection activities using loan servicing software.

Essential Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
• Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers, including suggesting alternative payment methods and establishing procedures.
• Aid borrowers in creating strategies to keep their vehicles while fulfilling loan obligations.
• Accurately and professionally document account information and collection activities.
• Utilize skip tracing tools and reference sources to locate delinquent borrowers.

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the collections field, preferably in subprime consumer lending.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.
• Professional, tactful, and sensitive customer interaction skills.
• Fast-paced work environment adaptability and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible work schedule and overtime availability.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
