JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establish and cultivate effective business partnerships with customer decision makers and support staff.
- Develop a sales strategy with your portfolio of customers to achieve organizational sales goals, including: assortment planning, new item introductions, promotions, and sales events, specifically focused on the introduction of newly developed air and cordless tools.
- New customer prospecting for customers in the cordless/lithium-ion power tool market.
- Develop a regular routine of customer communication, interaction and follow-up.
- Actively participate in sales presentations and brand building opportunities within your customer organizations.
- Conduct market research to understand and react to market trends.
- Attend Trade Meetings, Industry Conventions to drive brands and develop customer relationships.
- Analyze sales performance data and develop action plans to address sales opportunities.
- Provide support for existing customers by answering questions or addressing concerns in a timely manner.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience in the power tool industry; specifically, with cordless tools/lithium ion batteries.
- Fluent in English is required. Some Spanish desirable.
- Excellent, persuasive, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with executive level personnel within your customer portfolio.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills, especially proficient in MS Office Word and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities to achieve desired goals.
- Ability to work under pressure, changing priorities and demands.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Quick to learn in ambiguous circumstances.
- Ability to travel approximately 30%-40% of the time.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of experience selling to the hardware/tool retail customer with Cordless Tools, Pneumatic Tools, Compressors and Air Accessories.
- Marketplace experience such as Amazon.com, Walmart, Home Depot etc required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
