Account Representative - Patient Accounts - PRN - Varies

About the role

The Account Representative’s primary responsibility is to protect the financial integrity of OakBend Medical Center. They manage a portion of the Accounts Receivable, including collections from patient families, third party payers, government entities, and make timely and accurate contractual adjustments. They must use good judgment in charity and bad debt considerations and aggressively pursue all avenues of payment to maximize reimbursement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; relevant experience may substitute
• Previous medical experience preferred

• Knowledge of collection laws
• Ability to communicate well with customers
• Ability to handle extensive phone calls
