Account Merchandiser -Okaloosa County, FL

About the role

This position is responsible for servicing assigned accounts according to Buffalo Rock standards, developing customer relationships, executing sales and merchandising activities, and embodying the company's purpose and core values. The role requires travel to customer sites, physical work in varying conditions, and adherence to safety, compliance, and operational policies.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct during all working hours and while representing the company at off-site functions.
• Perform assigned route activities including selling in new products, securing incremental displays, additional merchandising space, and promotions.
• Drive to and from customer sites using a personal vehicle.
• Service all assigned accounts per Buffalo Rock Standards and Franchise Policy service frequency.
• Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships.
• Communicate all transshipping activity in accordance with Buffalo Rock policy and procedures.
• Communicate new accounts in assigned sales area to the ADC and RSS.
• Notify ADC/RSS of any changes to existing accounts, including ownership or closure.
• Complete all required paperwork per company policy and timelines.
• Monitor assigned accounts for CDA compliance.
• Communicate daily with ADC/RSS regarding product shortages, returns, refused orders, delivery changes, account information changes, or operational items.
• Achieve required percentage of Strategic Execution Objectives.
• Execute and achieve all account program key objectives.
• Properly rotate all products per Buffalo Rock Policy and Procedures.
• Ensure pallets, trays, damaged product, and returns are prepared for pickup at each account.
• Assist management in reporting competitive activity, achieving sales goals and metrics, and promoting Buffalo Rock Purpose and Core Values.
• Attend all scheduled meetings requiring presence and/or participation.
• Adhere to customer policies for vendors/suppliers, including business conduct, ethics, legal, delivery, and merchandising policies.
• Complete assigned training curriculum (online, facilitated, web-based, in-house) for continuous self-improvement.
• Take reasonable precautions to protect the company from damages, theft, or liabilities.
• Take reasonable precautions to protect the safety of employee-partners, self, customers, and property.

Work Environment

This position is subject to working conditions related to the individual unique working conditions at each account. Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold, working in rain or snow, all for extended periods.

Required Education and Experience

• Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
