Account Manager - Pharma Ingredients
About the role
Croda is seeking an Account Manager to join our Pharma Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining profitable sales in the designated market, aligning with annual targets and sales plans. They will also negotiate best possible commercial agreements with customers.
Responsibilities
- Sustain or grow market share with existing clients.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities by collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including R&D and Purchasing teams.
- Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Develop and implement Key Account plans and share them globally where applicable.
- Oversee sales contracts and agreements, including management of pricing, payment terms, and rebate structures.
- Set and maintain appropriate call frequencies and follow-up activities to ensure robust relationships at all levels within the account.
- Possess strong commercial/sales acumen and willingness to travel 3 days per week, up to 50% travel required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other technical field.
- 3+ years' experience in B2B sales with a proven track record of success.
- Proficiency in using C4C, Qlik, and Voyager, or the ability to learn these tools within 3 months.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Qualifications
While a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other technical field is preferred, candidates without a degree but with relevant experience will be considered. Additionally, candidates must have 3+ years of B2B sales experience and possess strong commercial/sales acumen. A willingness to travel 3 days per week, up to 50% travel required, is also essential.

Pay
Annual Base Salary Range: $115,000.00 to $140,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Additional compensation, such as annual bonuses or other incentives, may be offered based on eligibility and company policies.
Schedule
This is a remote position based in San Diego, Los Angeles, or San Francisco, California.
