Opportunity
The Personal Lines Account Manager I supports clients, manages a book of insurance business, and develops new business. They also troubleshoot claims and billing issues, and attend industry-related continuing education training.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Works alongside and cooperatively with Producers, if assigned on accounts, serving as the HUB’s primary contact to the client.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, ensuring high account retention rates.
- Manages account rounding and new business development as appropriate.
- Oversees the preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts.
- Acquires understanding of clients' business and insurance objectives and critically analyzes insurance plans for suitability.
- Acts as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve complex service issues.
- Negotiates with underwriters and carriers, troubleshoots claims and billing issues, and maintains accurate and organized account files.
- Develops new business from existing accounts and assigned leads, and prepares annual review reports and client meetings.
- Maintains strong client relationships, works with insurance and service vendors, and coaches less experienced Account Managers and Client Support Specialists.
- Identifies and follows-up on cross-selling opportunities, and seeks continued knowledge of the insurance industry to make appropriate recommendations to clients.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED; College degree strongly preferred
- 1-3 years in an insurance Account Management role (brokage experience preferred) or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Currently licensed in good standing in required lines and states
- HNW, E&S, Agency Bill, broad marketing/carrier knowledge and experience required

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Primarily stationary position for the majority of the workday
- Frequent communication with colleagues and clients in person and on the telephone
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
