Responsibilities
- Works alongside and cooperatively with Producers, if assigned on accounts, serving as the HUB's primary contact to the client.
- Provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, ensuring high account retention rates.
- Maintains understanding of clients' business and insurance objectives, critically analyzing and comparing insurance plans to ensure suitability.
- Acts as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve complex service issues, including policy interpretation and experience-based judgment.
- Negotiates with underwriters and carriers, troubleshoots claims and billing issues, and oversees the preparation and implementation of all transactions for assigned accounts.
- Develops new business from existing accounts and assigned leads, contributing to departmental production goals.
- Identifies and follows-up on cross-selling opportunities, prepares annual review reports, and conducts client meetings to review and improve insurance programs.
- Manages less experienced Account Managers and Client Support Specialists, ensuring accurate and organized account files are maintained.
- Stays informed about changes in the insurance industry and external conditions impacting clients, making appropriate recommendations.
- Attends industry-related continuing education training and courses, performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED; College degree preferred
- 1-3 years in an insurance Account Management role (brokage experience preferred) or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Currently licensed in good standing in required lines and states
- HNW, E&S, Agency Bill, broad marketing/carrier knowledge and experience required
