What You’ll Do

• Manage customers' import/export brokerage and freight forwarding needs
• Oversee all operational and account management tasks throughout the lifecycle of an engagement
• Make recommendations on shipping options based on price, transit time, routing, and specific customer requirements
• Monitor and resolve issues during the shipment lifecycle
• Serve as the direct point of contact with assigned customers
• Prepare and execute documents for U.S. Customs and other government agencies
• Quote rates and determine best routing and carrier options
• Maintain and organize client records
• Stay informed on import/export regulations
• Prepare letters of credit
• May make visits to customer locations
• Receive guidance for overall objectives and work independently within company policies and guidelines

What You’ll Bring

• CES or CCS Preferred
• Limited industry experience required
• High school diploma or GED required
• College degree helpful
• Language Skills: Written and verbal communication, reading and interpreting financial reports, responding to inquiries and complaints
• Technical Experience: Understanding of international logistics, all modes, customs process
• Office Skills: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ten-key skills
• Mathematical Skills: Percentages, ratios, proportions, discounts, rates, area, circumference, volume
• Specific Skills: Current valid driver’s license
• Reasoning Ability: Prioritizing tasks, solving practical problems, dealing with concrete variables
• Physical Demands: Light physical activity
