The Opportunity
JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, drives customer success globally with intelligent automated manufacturing and distribution technology solutions. As an Account Manager – Life Science, you'll join a team committed to transforming manufacturing and distribution processes worldwide.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential customers.
- Generate purchase orders to meet or exceed annual sales targets.
- Maintain and submit appropriate records for forecasting, quote status, and expenses.
- Aid Applications Engineers in developing solutions to customer needs.
- Continually contact prospective customers using leads from business directories or other sources.
- Support all aspects of sales and marketing for your geographic territory or vertical, including market research, industry trends, geographic market understanding, competitive landscape analysis, niche opportunity identification, lead generation, value proposition development, and communication, as well as participating in trade shows and creating marketing collateral.
- Align product offerings with market needs.
- Identify unique intellectual property opportunities.
- Set and align activity to support company goals.
- Maintain and submit appropriate records for forecasting, quote status, and expenses.
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of ten years in custom automation, with recent, relevant experience in the Life Science vertical (e.g., Med Tech, Med Device, Pharma, etc.).
- Five to ten years of account management or new business development experience.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or equivalent work experience, calculated as two years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study.
- Well-versed in CRM software, particularly Salesforce.
- Experience working at JR Automation or in the automation industry is strongly preferred.
- A winning and creative approach to work when identifying customer solutions.
- Proven ability to maintain and submit appropriate records for forecasting, quote status, and expenses.
- A history of continually contacting prospective customers based on leads from business directories or other sources.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time (primarily day travel).
- The remainder of time is spent working from home.
