About the role

As Account Manager for Eastern Wisconsin/Chicago, IL, you will maintain and grow sales of medical products—primarily capital equipment—through distributors, dealers, and direct sales to facilities such as long-term care centers, rehabilitation centers, hospice, homecare, VAMC, and state facilities. You will develop an annual territory sales plan, build customer relationships, and meet or exceed sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an annual territory sales plan with quarterly updates for the Region Manager.
  • Expand and maintain the customer base by following up on leads and nurturing key relationships with decision-makers, including Executive Directors, Directors of Nursing, Wound Care nurses, case managers, maintenance, biomed, prosthetics, OT/PT/KT, contracting officers, and logistics.
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives to achieve the established sales plan.
  • Provide customer support for product collateral (samples, literature, etc.).
  • Conduct in-service education and training for customers.
  • Transport equipment (beds, floor lifts, surfaces) to and from sales calls and trade shows.
  • Participate in clinical programs and workshops within your territory.
  • Support the Quality Policy and Quality System by following established procedures.
  • Attend regional and national sales meetings as scheduled.
  • Follow safety rules to protect yourself and company equipment.
  • Collaborate with national, regional, and local distributors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) required.
  • 3+ years of related work experience, preferably in capital equipment sales.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels, from clinical staff to C-suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems (SFDC).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to adapt to a wide variety of customer and corporate demands, including product support, diagnostics, and executive-level meetings.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to transport equipment to sales calls and trade shows.

Pay

Base salary of $50,000 with anticipated first-year on-target earnings of $125,000–$150,000 and second-year earnings of $200,000+.
