Position Summary
Parker Hannifin's Filtration Group is seeking an Account Manager to manage and grow sales within the OEM channels.
Responsibilities
- Proactively work with divisional management and support departments to meet customer service needs.
- Represent Parker at trade shows and professional activities.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with OEM customers.
- Secure and maintain distribution of Parker products and agreements.
- Support the corporation's Win Strategy by actively participating in strategy development and implementation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits.
- Keep up with internal and external training and development.
- Obtain specifications and approvals at engineering firms, major accounts, and/or distributors to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.
- Provide product training at the distributor and customer levels.
- Motivate and provide sales direction to distributors.
- Avoid competitive accounts and convert them to Parker.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in direct and/or distributor sales of industrial technical products.
- Filtration knowledge and experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to travel overnight 50% to 70% of time; or as required.
- Applicable product and system certification preferred.
- Proven track record of performing or exceeding performance levels.
- Must be based in or near a major metropolitan area in Eastern or Central time zone.
