About the role
CenterPoint seeks a strategic Account Manager to join its fast-paced trade show industry team. The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, collaborate across departments, and deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day business objectives and ongoing projects for current clients.
- Meet frequently with clients, acting as a primary liaison and problem-solver.
- Understand and present creative design and budget proposals aligned with client strategies.
- Manage multiple projects, handle schedule changes, and meet tight deadlines.
- Monitor project costs and ensure profitability.
- Work closely with internal departments to facilitate smooth communication.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' inventory, graphics, and booth assets.
- Stay informed about clients' annual trade show and event schedules.
- Negotiate contracts, handle invoices, secure payment terms, and resolve billing disputes.
- Evaluate tradeshow/event outcomes and provide constructive feedback for future events.
- Identify and pursue additional business opportunities with existing clients.
Requirements
- A positive team player with excellent client relationship-building and networking skills.
- Proven success in customer service and project management.
- Ability to connect and engage with diverse personalities.
- Experience meeting and exceeding revenue goals through vendor and client management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Confidence in leading and communicating effectively (both written and verbally).
- Superior problem-solving skills and a quick thinker.
- The ability to anticipate obstacles and work with a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent sales leadership experience.
- 7-10 years of account management/project management experience.
- Tradeshow or event experience is a plus.
