Account Manager
About the role
This position is responsible for the creation, development, and execution of strategies to expand and increase Bemis presence within the designated customer base/territory. This individual must be able to interface with customers at multiple levels (technical, commercial and management) and deliver the value proposition of a complex, technical solution. Must be a results-driven sales and account management professional with a demonstrated ability and proven track record of successfully developing business opportunities and growing revenue through effective sales techniques, strong customer relationships, persistent attention to internal and external communication and follow-through, and the constant delivery of timely and exceptional service solutions. Responsible for the execution of strategies to expand Bemis’ presence within house accounts to aggressively develop and grow revenue.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for setting and reaching sales goals, achieving profitability targets, administering pricing strategies, maintaining timelines, and timely follow through on key objectives both internally and externally
- Work collaboratively with a global team to develop and execute strategic account plans, including key objectives, initiatives, and opportunities that increase customer and market share and contribute to overall revenue growth
- Cultivate and nurture strong customer relationships through active engagement, positive rapport, and proactive follow through with a clear focus on key customer decision makers and stakeholders
- Participate in organizational processes and provide regular updates including call reports, monthly business reviews, monthly and annual forecasting, opportunity tracking through CRM, and annual planning activities
- Develop and maintain deep and broad knowledge of each customer’s business including an understanding of customer’s strategies, key stakeholder objectives and success metrics, market initiatives, programs, and product needs
- Support the innovation and product development process through cultivation and sharing of customer requirements/insights, and keen understanding of market knowledge and the competitive landscape
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent
- 3-5+ years relevant business experience
- 3+ years or more account management experience selling premium-priced technical products
- Apparel industry experience required
- Ability to travel up to 35%
- Proven ability to identify and create, develop, and close on strategic, complex win/win opportunities
- Strong presentation, negotiation, follow-up, and closing skills
- Open and collaborative working style with the ability to work independently and as part of a global cross-functional/cross-business unit team
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong long-term relationships across all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
Annual Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000 Variable Compensation: Commission Eligible
