Responsibilities
- Conduct sales and service activities
- Develop strong customer relationships
- Identify product applications
- Introduce new products and services
- Achieve sales and profit goals by developing and retaining existing customers and opening new business
- Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up, negotiate terms, and close transactions
- Organize training sessions for customers
- Survey market and competitive conditions
- Complete reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and other related matters
Requirements
- Proven experience and success in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory
- Demonstrated outside industrial sales experience with a preference in robotics, machine vision, motion control, and/or IIoT
- Familiarity within areas including process engineering, motion control, robotics, AI & machine vision systems, sensors & connectivity, automation controllers
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong desire to succeed
- Strong prioritization, planning, and time-management skills
- Computer skills and knowledge, including Excel
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s in engineering preferred
Skills
- Outside industrial sales experience
- Experience with robotics, machine vision, motion control, and/or IIoT
- Familiarity with process engineering, motion control, robotics, AI & machine vision systems, sensors & connectivity, automation controllers
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Strong prioritization, planning, and time-management skills
- Excel proficiency
