Account Manager

About the role

The Janitorial Account Manager oversees the day-to-day janitorial operations of an assigned customer site. This includes managing a team of janitorial staff through scheduling, payroll, and training, ensuring high-quality janitorial services are provided, and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise janitorial operations at an assigned customer site
• Manage a team of janitorial staff through scheduling, payroll, and training
• Ensure the customer site receives high-quality janitorial services
• Build and maintain effective relationships with both customers and employees
• Handle escalated issues and employee grievances appropriately
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels and meet customer/company requirements
• Communicate with customers regularly and address their needs
• Enforce Allied Universal policies as outlined in handbooks, handouts, and the company portal

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, write, and speak)
• 6 months of experience in business management/operations/supervisory roles in facilities or client-focused sites
• Excellent computer skills: proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong communications skills: both verbal and written
• Experience in management, especially in a union environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (with different on-call times daily)
• At least 1 year of management experience, preferably in the cleaning industry
• Experience in the janitorial industry or the ability to be trained in it
