Responsibilities

  • Manage a growth target for an assigned territory using a channel go-to-market distribution model.
  • Target market opportunities by segment and use available resources to aggressively pursue opportunities while also showing sales penetration within a target account list of accounts.
  • Exhibit a "hunter" mentality, strategic sales savvy, and build strong relationships with customers.
  • Sell in a matrixed environment with a customer-first approach, ensuring a win-win outcome.
  • Play a pivotal role in growing the company's revenue by identifying new sales opportunities and expanding relationships with existing clients.
  • Understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions to improve customer satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Improve Cisco's visibility and reputation in the market through strategic account planning and execution.
  • Serve as a vital link between customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to meet client objectives.
  • Provide insights from customer interactions and market trends to contribute to the development and refinement of effective sales strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience selling, prospecting, and growing an account base.
  • Proven track record of success leading a large territory, demand generation, partner development, strategic account planning, forecasting, quota attainment.
  • Experience communicating business transformational solutions via sales presentations and managing short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunities.
  • Hunter and cultivator mindset; self-starter who builds lasting and trusted relationships with clients.

  • Ability to deliver business value to both End Users and Partners.
  • Strong technical and business knowledge with complementary skills to understand customers’ business drivers and align them to Cisco solutions.
  • Demonstrated skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners, and customers using a Win/Win philosophy.
  • Ambitious self-starter with ability to articulate Cisco product and business strategies and create demand to complete deals.
  • Traits: passion, integrity, trust, leadership, discipline, and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $236,900.00 to $308,300.00, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.

For certain locations, the full salary range is as follows:

  • New York City Metro Area: $256,100.00 - $374,900.00
  • Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $236,900.00 - $373,000.00

For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays:

  • 0.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
  • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%;
  • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target.

  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, with up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next.
  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members.
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
  • Eligibility to earn annual bonuses (for non-sales roles) and performance-based incentive pay (for sales roles).
  • Eligibility to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.
