About the role

The Account Executive plays a crucial role in developing and retaining business within the assigned region. This individual is responsible for prospecting, building relationships, resolving customer issues, and managing customer accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develops new business through cold calling and appointment making.
  • Maintains and builds relationships with customer accounts through regular contact, including meals and entertainment.
  • Collaborates with Operations to understand and address customer needs and concerns.
  • Develops account pricing and submits requests for approval to supervisor.
  • Creates weekly sales reports and account profiles as needed.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and concerns promptly and ethically.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of RRTS services in all interactions.
  • Aids in collections and participates in team efforts to meet departmental and company goals.
  • Provides leadership to other employees through example and sharing of knowledge/skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or equivalent sales experience.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pricing agreements, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries and complaints from customers and members of the business community.
  • Excellent sales skills.
  • Prior experience in Haz Mat regulations.
  • Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel proficiency.
  • Keyboarding, filing, and ten-key skills.
  • Time management and project organization abilities.
  • Self-motivation and confidentiality.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of situations.
  • Physical demands: Daily outside travel, light physical activity, occasional wet/humid conditions, extreme cold, and outdoor weather conditions.

Pay

$85,000 - $95,000 per year.
