Account Executive - Asset Intelligence
About the role
MaintainX is a leading mobile‑first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams, used by over 13,000 customers including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL, and Volvo to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders. In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, which unifies Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim, and Fusion Operations. Autodesk’s strategy converges design, make, and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make; Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours. This role sits on the Asset Intelligence team within Revenue. The team sells the products that connect MaintainX to machine data: OT connectors, vibration and general sensor integrations, and operator licenses. Hardware comes from our partners; we connect to it, run the integration and diagnostics, and turn what the machines are saying into work. You will be the technical sales specialist for Asset Intelligence, working alongside account managers to bring these products to customers who already run maintenance on MaintainX.
Responsibilities
- Build the business case for Asset Intelligence in each account, tying a customer's downtime and maintenance costs to the products that address them.
- Run technical discovery with maintenance and reliability leaders to identify machines and failure modes (e.g., bearing wear, lubrication issues, misalignment) where condition monitoring pays off.
- Demo the products and lead the technical conversation through to close, bringing in a solution consultant when deeper scoping is needed.
- Work a high‑volume book of smaller deals and keep CRM clean for accurate forecasting.
- Share field insights with Product and Marketing to refine Asset Intelligence positioning.
- Partner with an account manager on every deal and share territory with a more senior overlay AE.
- Expect to be in front of customers in person at least once per quarter.
- Within the first year, be fully ramped, running your own pipeline, and be the go‑to person for account managers when customers ask about sensors or condition monitoring.
Requirements
- 3+ years selling technical solutions to maintenance, reliability, or operations leaders in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- A working grasp of how machines fail and how monitoring catches issues early (no analyst background required).
- A record of meeting quota in a role with a technical or specialist component.
- Comfort leading demos and business‑case conversations with both operations and technical stakeholders.
- Pipeline discipline to manage many opportunities simultaneously and forecast them accurately.
- Willingness to work from the Raleigh office at least two days a week and to travel to customers.
Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience selling predictive maintenance through vibration analysis.
- Background in CMMS, EAM, APM, industrial IoT, or condition monitoring software.
- Digital transformation or value‑consulting experience.
- Proven track record using MEDDPICC.
Benefits
- Work that shows up in the physical world – what you sell keeps factories, fleets, hospitals, and campuses running.
- You are adding to a product the industry already loves, with customers who renew and expand.
- Autodesk scale, same mission – the resources of a profitable public company focused on the problem we were already solving.
- An early seat on a new, small team where you can name the parts you own.
- A culture that rewards output and promotes quickly when people deliver; autonomy and trust to use it.
- Belonging – a culture where everyone can thrive (see autodesk.com/company/global‑belonging).
Pay
Compensation range: $108K – $159K base pay, with potential commission, annual bonus, and equity. Benefits differ by country; for U.S. roles see benefits.autodesk.com, and for Canada and other countries your recruiter will detail the health, retirement, and leave plans.
