About the Role

As the Account Coordinator, you will support the execution of direct mail and digital marketing and fundraising strategies for our various nonprofit clients. You will participate in creating and implementing campaigns to acquire, cultivate, and solicit donors, ensuring the effective and efficient workflow of multiple client projects through account team collaboration. This is a hybrid position based in our Lanham, MD office.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and complete day-to-day tasks to efficiently support assigned client account(s), ensuring attention to detailed requirements and meeting commitments.
  • Oversee the direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of all assigned client projects, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Work with the team to develop and maintain detailed project timelines and schedules for direct mail and digital accounts.
  • Facilitate the overall creative and production process, including initiation, scheduling, status updates, and approvals.
  • Manage and monitor changes in scope, prioritization, and schedules, implementing new or modified schedules as needed.
  • Manage the creative and budget approval process, ensuring all required team members review and approve projects throughout the lifecycle.
  • Perform data entry of client fundraising costs and segmentation, keeping client information up to date.
  • Assist with weekly internal status updates for clients.
  • Coordinate activities with off-site agencies, database suppliers, list brokers, and vendors.
  • Serve as a backup point of contact for client issues or activities as assigned.
  • Conduct research on behalf of client missions and new outreach campaigns.
  • Research and report on industry trends to forecast future direct-marketing needs.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a nonprofit or agency environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Project management or project management software experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to meet client fundraising goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of process, workflow, and project management best practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and a basic understanding of analytics.
  • Ability to think critically and develop creative solutions.
