About the role
MMGY Global is seeking an Account Coordinator in our Los Angeles office. This position works with several key tourist board accounts, contributing to integrated sales and marketing plans through various initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support team members with administrative tasks such as preparing comprehensive market intelligence reports, project briefs, and budgets.
- Plan and manage events and special projects.
- Support the planning and delivery of webinars, sales calls, and training programs with travel distribution partners.
- Develop industry relations with tour operators, consortiums, travel advisors, wholesalers, airlines, and client stakeholders, including networking and event representation.
- Support the planning and delivery of trade educational programs, including itinerary development, participant recruitment, and hosting in destination.
- Maintain travel trade and media databases, including consumer and trade press.
- Coordinate events and trade show activities, participating onsite.
- Adhere to and contribute to project workflows and timelines.
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, including attendee invitations, agendas, location reservations, AV, taking and distributing meeting notes, and other logistics.
- Develop activity reporting with a strong focus on conversion metrics.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in sales support, training, marketing, public relations, or event management (preferably in the tourism industry).
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to develop and adhere to independent deadlines.
- Event planning and budgeting experience.
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously on tight deadlines.
- Highly organized and willing to manage numerous administrative functions.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of tourism destination sales and marketing either through education or job experience.
Education Requirements
- A 4-year degree in marketing, tourism, communications, or public relations.
