Account Collector Rep

About the role

Welcome to USPI. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care by supporting our surgery centers through outstanding business office operations. Our revenue cycle teams ensure accurate financial processes so our clinical teams can focus on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and effective follow-up on outstanding patient accounts
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve billing issues and inquiries
• Review and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions
• Utilize billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to track payments and update patient records
• Collaborate with the billing team and other departments to streamline processes and optimize revenue cycle performance

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of collections experience, with experience in healthcare insurance collections
• Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize urgent matters
