About the role

Responsibilities
- Perform timely and effective follow-up on outstanding patient accounts
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve billing issues and inquiries
- Review and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions
- Utilize billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to track payments and update patient records
- Collaborate with the billing team and other departments to streamline processes and optimize revenue cycle performance
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of collections experience, with experience in healthcare insurance collections
- Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize urgent matters
