Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain the appearance of aircraft cabin interiors.
- Perform component replacement and maintenance on appearance-related items in accordance with manufacturer maintenance manuals, the SkyWest General Maintenance Manual (GMM), and the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Department.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the SkyWest General Maintenance Manual (GMM).
- Maintain the assigned shop work area in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free condition.
- Ensure tools and support equipment are kept clean, safe, and operational at all times.
- Wear required eye and hearing protection as necessary when using tools or operating machinery to ensure personal safety.
- Be available to work any assigned shift and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid state-issued unrestricted driver’s license.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Mechanical experience and/or aptitude.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work any assigned shift, including four 10-hour shifts, with specific days determined based on operational needs.
- Availability to work weekend shifts as needed.
Physical and Other Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor level to chest height, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.
- This is a full-time position assigned to the night shift on the 206 Crew.
- The starting wage is $17.31 per hour (plus 1.00 override).
- This is a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.
