Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the full admissions and intake process
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of intake assessments
  • Maintain workflow efficiency and continuously improve intake procedures
  • Oversee participant eligibility applications through County Mental Health Services
  • Maintain full compliance of billing processes across all funding sources
  • Oversee the initial stages of Revenue Cycle Management
  • Ensure billing procedures remain compliant with contractual and regulatory standards
  • Support clients with billing, benefits, and financial inquiries as needed
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and protection of confidential client information
  • Maintain credentialing compliance and documentation required by funding contracts and regulatory agencies
  • Prepare intake and billing systems for audit readiness
  • Directly supervise intake and billing staff
  • Review and approve bi-weekly payroll for direct reports, if applicable
  • Train new and current staff on admissions, billing procedures, compliance standards, and EHR systems
  • Promote professional communication and adherence to organizational values

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of work experience, specialized training, or healthcare billing/intake certifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare intake, admissions, or billing
  • Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare services preferred
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems required
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and revenue cycle processes
  • Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations
  • Effective professional communication skills
  • Strong organizational and process improvement abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple funding and regulatory requirements
  • Commitment to organizational values and mission-driven service delivery
