Access Coordinator I, Day Shift, Full Time

About the Location

About the Role

Performs general administrative duties and customer service. Provides communication, information, assistance, and coordination for all customer requests. Offers patient care support while maintaining excellent customer service. This position is represented by UFCW.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, ensuring completion of required documents.
• Update patient demographic, insurance, and financial information.
• Provide copies of documents to patients and schedule appointments.
• Complete physician referrals and assist patients with questions and requests.
• Answer and direct incoming calls and secure messages via the EHR.
• Schedule patients for appointments and make reminder calls.
• Verify eligibility for services and collect payments due.
• Organize patient Outguides for next-day appointments, noting bad debt, authorization, and other pertinent information.
• Balance patient payments and money box daily and courier collections to the Business Office safe.
• Follow clinic policies and procedures, including HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
• Support an environment of teamwork, professional communication, and efficiency.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred.
• One year of physician office, hospital patient registration, or patient accounting experience: Preferred.

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $25.00 to $26.51 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. A comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

Schedule

Full-time, 10-hour shifts.
