Access Control Technician

This is a contract position based in Jacksonville, FL, with an anticipated close date of July 31, 2026.

About the Role

Install, wire, and program access control systems, network cameras, and door hardware. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system design drawings. Perform system start-ups, checkouts, and basic customer training. Maintain on-site safety and quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in access control, installation, and programming
• Experience with CCTV, cable management, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Lenel, Software House, and Genetec systems
• Strong construction skills and understanding of system plans
• Excellent ability to read blueprints, design drawings, and schematics
• Knowledge of wiring methods, cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support), and labeling methods
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., using hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper)
• Solid math skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent customer focus

Pay

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00 per hour.

This is a fully onsite position in Jacksonville, FL.
