Academic Test Proctor

Germanna Community College is a public, open-access institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. About the role

The Academic Test Proctor administers a large number of tests, including written tests, performance exams, and online tests.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support by creating professional and courteous correspondence between test vendors, examinees, faculty, staff, and students
• Generates daily reports; researches student records; enters research data in Excel; completes daily task reports
• Administers proctoring services for academic tests and placement tests
• Provides excellent customer service and refers requests to the appropriate department
• Ensures all computers have appropriate software for each test
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Customer service experience in a high-volume environment with the ability to handle stressful situations
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills; intermediate experience in Microsoft Office 365
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to learn applications quickly
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, and Saturdays
• Complete certifications within 30 days of hire date

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a testing center
• Experience working in a post-secondary educational environment
• Knowledge of academic and placement testing
• Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Pay

$20.06–$24.39 per hour. State benefits do not apply.
