Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as point of contact for prospective and current undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.
- Respond to student inquiries and direct students to appropriate university and college resources.
- Support student onboarding, orientation, registration, and academic milestones.
- Aid in student records, documentation, forms, and administrative processes.
- Cook up student appointments, meetings, and academic support activities.
- Provide administrative support for academic programs and student services initiatives.
- Aid in course scheduling, classroom logistics, and academic calendar activities.
- Cook up processes related to student milestones, including examinations, defenses, graduation, and other academic requirements.
- Aid in faculty and academic leadership with administrative activities related to academic programs.
- Maintain accurate student records and administrative documentation in accordance with university policies.
- Coordinate logistics for student orientations, recruitment events, workshops, commencement activities, seminars, and other academic events.
- Aid in planning and execution of student engagement activities and special programs.
- Prepare materials and provide on-site logistical support for meetings and events.
- Assist with procurement requests, expense documentation, travel arrangements, and other administrative transactions supporting Academic Services.
- Maintain office procedures, calendars, records, and shared administrative resources.
- Cook up operational requests and follow up on action items.
- Support implementation of university and college policies and procedures.
- Aid in student communications, newsletters, announcements, websites, and distribution lists.
- Maintain shared files, calendars, and office resources.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, prospective students, and visitors.
- Collaborate with university offices to support student success and resolve administrative issues.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance the student experience and operational effectiveness.
- Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Two to four years of experience in higher education administration, student services, academic affairs, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and operational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with student information systems or other administrative systems.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience supporting undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral academic programs.
- Experience working in student services, registrar's offices, advising, or academic affairs.
- Familiarity with student information systems and university administrative processes.
- Experience coordinating student events, orientations, or academic programming.
- Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced, or start-up academic environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding student service and fostering an inclusive, student-centered environment.
