About the role

Under the direction of the University Registrar, the Academic Records and Registration Specialist works with the Office of the Registrar team to support all activities related to student records and registration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line assistance for student in-person support, manage the Registrar/Records inbox, and handle office communications.
  • Assist with the digitization of paper processes and student files.
  • Process requested transcripts for students, staff, and alumni.
  • Process enrollment and degree verifications for students, alumni, and outside parties.
  • Update student records and facilitate the registration process, including scheduling changes.
  • Handle diploma re-order requests and other graduation-related tasks.
  • Plan, organize, and execute university Commencement Convocations in collaboration with other departments (attendance required).
  • Provide information to faculty, students, staff, and the public regarding course registration, student records, and University policies via in-person, email, phone, or other electronic means.
  • Maintain, secure, preserve, and properly dispose of student education records in compliance with FERPA.
  • Serve as a designee to University Committees as assigned.
  • Attend limited evening or weekend events or operational hours as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the University Registrar.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • One year of related experience and/or training in higher education, preferably at an institution serving traditional undergraduate and professional/adult students.
  • Experience or ability to learn the Ellucian Colleague student information system.
  • High proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

Pay

$48,000 per year
