Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure): Clinical Assistant Professor, Bilingual ESL Education
About the role
The Department of Educational Psychology, School of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University seeks two full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) Clinical Assistant Professor positions within the Bilingual Education/ESL program. These positions will coordinate and assist in the development and implementation of a field-based undergraduate program in Bilingual Education/ESL teacher preparation, participate in student recruitment, and engage in outreach activities.
Responsibilities
- Teach and provide clinical supervision to bilingual education/ESL students.
- Provide oversight and guidance on undergraduate student academic progress.
- Provide professional service at local, state, or national levels and institutional service at program, department, and college levels.
- Collaborate with program faculty to maintain and grow the bilingual education/ESL program and contribute to its success.
Requirements
- Earned a doctorate from a program in Bilingual Education, ESL, or related field.
- Experience teaching (a minimum of 3 years in US public schools).
- Bilingual Education/ESL students.
- Experience teaching teacher preparation courses via traditional and distance education.
- Experience providing clinical supervision with bilingual education and ESL students.
Qualifications

Skills
- Proficiency in Spanish/English.

The salary and start-up package are competitive and commensurate with rank and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a full-time, 9-month Academic Professional Track appointment beginning August 1, 2025.
