About the role

The Department of Educational Psychology, School of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University seeks two full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) Clinical Assistant Professor positions within the Bilingual Education/ESL program. These positions will coordinate and assist in the development and implementation of a field-based undergraduate program in Bilingual Education/ESL teacher preparation, participate in student recruitment, and engage in outreach activities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and provide clinical supervision to bilingual education/ESL students.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on undergraduate student academic progress.
  • Provide professional service at local, state, or national levels and institutional service at program, department, and college levels.
  • Collaborate with program faculty to maintain and grow the bilingual education/ESL program and contribute to its success.

Requirements

  • Earned a doctorate from a program in Bilingual Education, ESL, or related field.
  • Experience teaching (a minimum of 3 years in US public schools).
  • Bilingual Education/ESL students.
  • Experience teaching teacher preparation courses via traditional and distance education.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision with bilingual education and ESL students.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to collegiality and collaboration.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Spanish/English.

Pay

The salary and start-up package are competitive and commensurate with rank and qualifications.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 9-month Academic Professional Track appointment beginning August 1, 2025.
