Academic Physician Rheumatologist

About the role

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine, Section of Rheumatology seeks an Academic Rheumatologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. Successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV and/or Fairmont, WV.

Responsibilities

• Practice the full range of outpatient and inpatient Rheumatology
• Provide excellent patient care
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in our ACGME accredited fellowship program
• Participate in quality improvement and/or research as eligible
• Support career and personal development for all faculty
• Potential for grant support within the Division to sponsor career interests
• Serve areas outside of Morgantown in West Virginia or Pennsylvania, combining in-person and telemedicine as needed

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
• Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program
• Completed a rheumatology fellowship and be board eligible/board certified in rheumatology
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment
