Academic Rheumatologist
About the role
The Academic Rheumatologist position at CHI Health Clinic and Creighton University School of Medicine is a clinical practice position with the added responsibility of bedside teaching within a collaborative environment. The role involves contributing to the growth of the Rheumatology practice while engaging in meaningful patient care and medical education activities.
Responsibilities
- 95% Outpatient practice
- Call: 1:3 for clinic calls and inpatient rounding
- Work 4.5 days per week
- Participate in a Vibrant Teaching Service doing grand rounds, board review lectures, and medical school lectures
- Perform ultrasound-guided procedures if desired
- Faculty Appointment with Creighton University School of Medicine
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Certification in Rheumatology
- Active or Eligible to obtain an unrestricted license in Nebraska
- DEA in good standing with no restrictions
- BLS
- A record of excellence in clinical care and education
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
